用途：

1）潮霉素B是氨基糖苷类抗生素，它可以通过抑制蛋白质合成杀死细菌、真菌和高级真核细胞。 　　

2）潮霉素B通过干扰移位、促进80S核糖体的误译来抑制蛋白质合成。

3）哺乳动物细胞选择的有效浓度通常是50 μg/ml--1 mg/ml之间；对于植物细胞，其有效浓度是20–200 μg/ml；对于细菌，有效浓度是20–200μg/ml；对于真菌，有效浓度是200μg–1 mg/ml。

4）转染中用的特定抗生素。

5）潮霉素B磷酸转移酶灭活潮霉素B。

6）携带hph基因转染的细胞对潮霉素有抗性。　　

7）转染细胞稳定或暂时表达该基因。
